Nice but in rough condition. Something like this could be very difficult to restore.
 
As rare as it is, the price is ridiculous given the condition. Even restored, it's price is questionable. You can get a restored Studer A80 RC Mk2 for less....and its a better deck.
 
It's not fully optioned either. I'd go a Studer A820 or 80 any day. Even my late A810 has more appeal.

There is at least one fellow IIRC in Europe who specializes in Stellavox's. Think he did Kostas Metaxas' machine. (?) Problem is you could sink 10 large ones into restoring the machine. Remember Jonathan Tinn bought a used Studer and repairing it turned into a black hole. That's always the issue with buying one of these used machines. One at least likes to see at minimum firsthand or a video that it runs and plays. (First thing Ki had me do when I checked out a machine for him) Then there's the question of upkeep and how well does it maintain setup.

OTOH some people out thereswear by the Stellavox.

But yes thought the price/condition ratio was a little skewed.
