Even though I moan and groan about software bugs (that's my job), I love my S1. However, like anything else, it can be improved. So, I assume Lumin is working on the next generation. Aside from an even better Berkeley killer DAC, this is a very important feature I would like to see.

A digital input so I can use my CD player as a transport since I don't rip every CD. Even better is an HDMI input so I can play my SACDs through the Lumin.

Good suggestions Bud! At a minimum I would have to expect DAC improvements form an already very good converter and digital inputs (AES/XLR, USB, Opt AND Coax). Also, would be good to see MQA supported (even though I don't have any MQA music yet).

Nothing new coming from Lumin for AT LEAST a year (as I was told on Friday).

Thx Mike. The S1 sounds fantastic and, frankly, we don't need to see product replacements on a yearly basis. However, lots of new digital products showing up regularly. Difficult to keep the product line current without upsetting customers.

It's kind of funny how people are wanting upgrades in one thread and angry about upgrades in another.

Heck, I'm still trying to decide whether I like the A1 or the S1 better. The distributor says S1 is his favorite. I kind of like the A1 myself. They're both so great and so system dependent.

If I could afford a S1 it would be nice, but I tell ya, my D1 with my Kenneth Lau power supply sure gives the A1 a huge run for the money in the sound department. Lumin just good stuff regardless of model.
