Myles, Any idea the dimensions or sensitivity?
Wondering where it fits in the line. Btw - it's zellaton rather than zellatron![]()
And can't play loud....but I bet it sounds sweet.

Where have you heard the Zellaton's Mike? I've only heard them at two shows under less than ideal circumstances. Yeah I know I should drop by Gideon's. Tried emailing to make an appt. but never heard back. Oh yeah. Gideon and I live a couple of blocks away from each other.
At shows. The big knock is that they can't play loud. I would love to hear them in better conditions too.

My Zellaton Emotions will play loud. Come over and I will show anyone here. What is nice about the Zellatons, you don't have to play them loud to get all of the emotion of the music. Your ears will thank you when you turn 60 and all of your friends are complaining about tinnitus.
Here are the specs given to me by Zellaton:
This model is called "Statement" and will be their top model.
Specifications:
3-Way Floorstanding Speaker System
Impedance: 4 Ohms
Frequency Response: 20 Hz - 40 kHz
Sensitivity: 90 dB/1W/m
Dimensions (HxWxD): 168 x 56 x 88 cm
Newly Engineered 11" ZELLATON Full-Cone Woofer
MSRP: To Be Announced
Uses Dueland caps.
Hope this helps!

Heard zellaton emotion and grands at rmaf in 2012 and 2013 and they were certainly capable of playing loud though Gideon from Audioarts wasn't blasting them until i asked to turn it up on some sonny rollins and depeche mode. Shows are a bit of a loudness war unfortunately, which may work just like it does on radio, getting attention without SQ. Mike, are you referring to something specific like rhaido's "popping" or is it something else? Room size? If the model Myles posted in the OP comes to fruition, i can imagine it will be able to fill a very large room, albeit with the right pairing of amp(s).
I remember at RMAF (or CES) the person running the room said only he could work the remote and the volume needed to stay low because the speakers weren't SPL champs. I then remember reading about a Zellaton speaker crapping out at a show because they were playing it to loud.
I could be wrong....but that's what I recall.
Doesn't matter. If they play loud, great!

To me playing loud doesn't mean much, My car system can play loud, my guitar amp can play loud enough to hurt your ears to me playing music clear, clean without unwanted garbage is all I'm after at all volumes levels.
True, I overdrove my original/vintage 59 Fender Bassman back in my high school days at a battle of the bands, a person can overdrive any amp..it's not hard, just keep turning it up as you cover your ears, something will give sooner or laterI agree. But there are times you want to crank the tunes without risk of popping or blowing a driver. But then again, we know someone here who managed to overdrive a pair of Magico's!

My Zellaton Grand's(with 7" mid and 7" bass) are perfectly linear at all volumes and I would not trade them for any speaker on Earth.
