Installed a SOtM sNH-10G ethernet switch today, with sPS-500 LPS. Replacing a generic Meraki switch w/fiber ports.
Been wanting to try an “audiophile-grade” network switch for a while after reading many good things here. I chose this particular one because it has fiber ethernet ports, a must-have for me, and had most of the possible internal upgrades.
I’ve always been more of a skeptic when it comes to this, but knowledgeable people here have had positive things to say, so I was swayed.
I’m glad I did it. Confirmation bias? Maybe. But I feel like I’m hearing more texture, bit more detail, wider soundstage, everything seems to have more space around it, more separation. All of this adds up to a more real, enjoyable presentation. Very positive overall. I’m a bit surprised.
