Hi Folks,

Just a heads up that due to the new Tariffs in the USA we will be having a price increase on Bryston products as of September 1st 2018.

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps the Governments of Canada and the U.S. will be able to work out more fair and equitable trade policies by then and avoid having to impose these increases on your products.
We can only hope.

It could be the other way around (?), Canadian retaliatory tariffs imposed on US manufactured parts imported by Bryston.

Yes it a serious problem. I was just informed on Friday that our metalwork costs are going up 17%

Without starting a political debate the comparison between Smoot-Hawley and what is going on now is like comparing me singing in the shower to a perfect recording of Beethoven's Vth. There is some resemblance to music in the former but that is where the comparison ends.
