Mike.......With Suncoast Audio you are like a kid in a candy store. :woot:

Ha! For sure. Just need a table to mount it on. Minor problem.

Avenger...
Titan...
Something else...??

The Proteus D is as rare as Hen's teeth....so I snagged one when I could.

Now that's a nice one! Congrats!

Would be great if you would like to share impressions when you have installed it.

Wanted to hear the TT, but had to leave too early for that ... :(

Kronos has the tech, but lacks the musical sophistication.

I would go with the Avenger.

Interesting....

Not sure I agree. I have the Kronos Pro and it's superb. Very musical.

There is nothing absolute in high-end audio, is there?

Kronos Pro is technically absolutely superb, I agree - no doubt whatsoever. Musically there might be preferences.

Avenger over Kronos ...?? , never heard the avenger before , if better than Kronos then its serious ..

I think at the level of a Kronos it is difficult to say 'better', different might be a better word. It might be more a question of preference about what conveys the music in a way you like.

There are experienced audiophiles who think the LP12 in a max setup is the bees knees. There are other equally experienced music lovers who think you need a Brinkman, Feikert, Vpi or Kronos for that matter to get to nirvana.

I'm of the LP-12 suspension table camp myself, frankly with enuff knowledge and skills you can get most tables to go warp 9 , serious differences ( warp10) are really only pulled out with a total SOTA setup ...

That's right, but there's a turnside to that: An LP12 not set up in the correct way will sound just good, but not excellent :).
