I know this is not an Audiophile recording, but Stanley Clark - School Days is an awesome disk.

My new test track is Desert Song. Upright Bass, with Bow and Plucking, Piccolo Bass, Electric Bass

Tone and Deep Bass with a little noodling by John Mclaughlin on Guitar

This will sound good on all your systems!

"I Love You" - Sarah McLachlan

That is a nice song, but where's the Bass? There is a nice melodic bass line, but nothing on the Stanley Clark line of things.

By the way Fro, do you have a site or location where all your photos are accessible? What camera/s do you use?

Sarah is wonderful. I saw her perform live (with Rance here on the forum) at the Ryman. An unforgettable concert. It was just her and a piano or her and a guitar. Occasionally she had a cello player, but she carried the entire concert by herself.

She was also, quite funny. Told some great stories.

And the Ryman? The best place to hear live music. Incredible Accoustics.

As for bass tracks, I use Lou Reed, Walk on the wild side, among others, for getting the bass right in a room.

Wow - That song especially the beginning is some of the lowest bass I have ever heard!
Also just love Sarah.
Im not a pro photographer so the only site to see some of my photos is on Facebook under Gregg Froman or Gregg Froman, Photographer.
My rig consist of a Nikon D850 - 16mm Nikon, 14mm Sigma, 24mm Nikon, 17-35mm Nikon, 28-300mm Nikon.
Thanks!

I will listen again in main rig later on. Thanks for the info, love all your photos!

I've got that album,I'll have to give it a spin now that you mention it.

Return To Forever, the track Romantic Warrior is one of my bass tracks.
Paula Cole, Tiger
See if your system can keep up with The Tierney Sutton Band, On A Clear Day from Screenplay.
Check your dynamics with Ozone Pecussion Group, Jazz Variants
Lord's Royals is another good bass song, not only goes low but various bass frequencies

From the album "Surfacing"
... song #2 ('I Love You').
Spin the LP but spinning the CD will reveal that bass line more prominently, with full verve.

Fro (Gregg) is 100% correct ... tremendous bass line. Thanks Gregg. 😊

* After listening to track #2 go to track #6 ('Witness') ... for also a very nice bass line, and the drums too.

Thanks, Bob!
I also like how her whispery voice which seems to be recorded with a very close mic.
Heavenly!

No, thanks to you Gregg, because I'm listening to her right now.
I have most of all her CDs and LPS, because I too love her.

* Track #6 ('Witness') ... also a very good bass line and punchy drum...from the same album (CD) ... "Surfacing"

I saw Sarah McLachlan a couple of times in concert way back when before she explode with Surfacing. I used to work for HMV so It was easy to get tickets whenever she was in town which was often back then. I met her twice backstage and she was indeed warm and funny and completely approachable. A pure delight!

She was also fun onstage doing bits of C+C Music Factory and Black Box which we're big dance music stuff at the time...

I cannot tell you how many times I've listened to her second album Solace. It is such a wonderful album and great sounding too!
