OK guys...we've all talked about going to Munich so many times! I'm planning on going. Who's in?

Guys - what's the best hotel to stay at?

If nothing changes, I will be there.
For the hotel I suggest Marriott where another Hiend exposition is held, some very good stuff is presented there( for example Acapella and FM Acoustics)

But this is an expensive option, I stayed in less expensive hotel ( will check when back home from vacation) and used taxi to go to the Munich HiEnd.
 
I would love to go. Munich is about a 5 hour drive away without traffic.

They have great S-Bahn/subway trains and you can stay far out where its cheaper and get downtown relatively quickly. Best to make sure your hotel is on a direct line to the Munich venue.

BTW, doesn't the venue change for next year? I heard BMW bought out the old venue and will be using it for themselves???
 
Didn't see this thread, I shall be going along, I went in 2016 and it was fantastic, as for hotels Mike I'd suggest staying in the city centre as it's only about a 15 minute tube ride to the exhibition centre and it's quite easy as it's only one train. Look around the Marianplatz area for hotels, they are all pretty decent to be fair.

if you decide to go then drop me a PM and we could meet up for a beer or two

Booked the flight and the hotel. I suggest to take a hotels from the hotellist from the highendsociety. They offer a great free transfer service to and from the fair.

I recommend the

INNSIDE MÜNCHEN PARKSTADT SCHWABING

Very modern and a great breakfast!

Instead of the Marriott I would recommend the Pullman Hotel just across the street from the Marriott.

By the way, Jonathan Valin is usually staying in the Marriott, I met him last year in front of his room and had a chat.

I leave for the airport in a few hours.
Going to be travelling around Germany before heading to Munich next weekend.

Looking forward to a report afterward. If you get a chance check out Thrax Audio who will be there I'd be interested in others opinions of them.
