One of the things I like about Magico is that they keep their speaker designs on the simple, but functional, side. For example, they only have one set of input to each speaker, so no bi-amping them. Anyway, this speaker was posted on another forum, and it appears as a bit overkill. Does anyone have any experience with it, or something similar? To me it just looks like more parts to break.
That is the Tekton Ulfberht. Tekton has gotten pretty good reviews for their speakers from both customers and professional reviewers, particularly for the value delivered. (Most of the feedback I've seen online has been for their Double Impact model. Review links are provided on their product pages.) If your room is less ideal or you want big sound at lower price point, I suspect the line-array-like design probably helps.
