Probably not a name most have heard of. It is a recording studio in Temple Terrace, FL that has had a historic marker installed in front of their original studio there.
Tom and Jim Morris are credited with the birthplace of Death Metal music having recorded what are considered the best albums ever produced.
I met Tom through my wife that played tennis with his wife.
They also had recorded all of the Trans Siberian Orchestra music until they sold their Temple Terrace studio to them in 2014 and opened a new one in Sulphur Springs, Fl.
I remember when Tom told me names of some of the others that came to the studio to be recorded and I was surprised by the artists that were there.
Unfortunately, it was long enough ago I would be making random guesses at any names.
There is an article by ABC the net about the studio and the marker being awarded to them.
I have never been a Heavy or Death Metal fan but it is interesting that it happened here in our area.
