Anyone heard one of these? Love the looks. Wonder if they sound as good as they look? I know it's a long shot, but, I also wonder if anyone has heard one through Harbeth speakers?

Sounds great as much as I can tell over my computer system. Can't wait to hear it live. I know one is SS and the other a tube amp but how do the Moon amps compare to the VACs?

Thank you, Jack. I downloaded it. My #1 all time favorite contemporary bluegrass band. The Bluegrass Album Band is my all time favorite traditional bluegrass band.

Mike, will you have a Moon 700i v2 and 340ix in stock by the time I come for a visit in October? I've refocused my interests and the amps that currently have my attention are...Luxman 509x, NAIM Supernait 3, Simaudio/Moon 700i v2 and 340ix, Hegel H590, and Gryphon Diablo 120. I'll be checking these out for sure when I come to Sarasota.

It will certainly be interesting to hear your impressions on those amps you've listed and to see which one makes the trip home with you. They all have a different sonic character. And, they are all good in their way which will make your job a bitter sweet thing.

I am not sure if I've heard those exact models. We have a Sim dealer so I've heard Sim a good amount of times, mostly with either Dynaudio or Focal.

I find Sim to be a good sounding solid state unit, more toward neutral. I detect a bit of a house sound, I call it "dry", where the sound doesn't seem to resonate, sort of damped. Damped, as in not so much reverberation. Not a knock of any kind, just an observation. Our dealer has had Sim for years, picked them up to replace Krell when Krell tried shoving their speakers down their throat. Anyway the line has done well for them.

Just the 340ix. I may bring in the 700, but my thought was it would be like competing against myself. I already have so many amazing integrated amps in the same price range - Gryphon, Luxman, T+A, Pass, Hegel, VAC, MBL, etc.

The more modest priced SimAudio gives me a different group of products with literally no other competition in the store in that price range.

But that may change over time.

And let’s not forget NAIM. Lots to explore. Don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I doubt there’s a better store around with a more vast selection of integrated amps.

I've listened to it a couple of times. I had honestly never heard them before. I just picked up on as a new Friday release on Qobuz. Have picked up on a couple of interesting bands that way. Give this one a listen. The guys all went to school together at the Berklee College of Music. Picked up on them the same way.

I'm familiar with that group, Jack. They've been getting some airplay on Sirius XM. Great new group. Check out Blue Highway's "Midnight Storm" album. Great album, great players and writers. I especially like their earlier albums (in addition to the latest).
