Minimserver offline in Lumin app, but still accessible

Hi forum

I have a Lumin D1 with firmware version 8.04. MinimServer 0.8.4 update 100 is running on a Synology NAS (DSM 6.1.1-15101 Update 4). Prior to the DSM update it said that Minimserver wont be running anymore. In the Minimserver forum I read that it will still run after the upgrade and its just a "bug". Actually Minimserver is still running but with one issue.

Unfortunately I always have to quit the Lumin app (version 6.0.9) on my iPad Air 2 (running iOS 10) and open it again that the albums are being displayed as online.

this is what it looks like if I open the app. the albums are offline.

it says that the server is offline. if you add an album to the playlist it still will be added and streamed.

at this point I quit the Lumin app and restart it again. the albums are being displayed as online.

is anyone having the same issue ? I didnt made any changes to my network configuration and Minimserver is being displayed as running on my NAS.

I had that message (about Minimserver not working with it) come up when I logged in to my Synology to update other things. I elected not to do it for now. This person indicated it worked fine (I will wait - way behind anyway as I just fixed the sound card on the PC after lightning damage a few months ago) - http://forum.minimserver.com/showthread.php?tid=4074
 
thank you for your answer. I also wont update DSM for now. actually I dont know if the issue I am having is caused by the DSM update or something else in the chain. would be glad to hear if other users are having the same problem too.
 
I get that message too, when I go to update. Everything is working fine now, so I will not mess with it.
 
@BruceLet: Which message are you getting ? The one from the Lumin app saying that the server is offline, or the one from Synology regarding the DSM update ?
 
I get that message too and I'm not using minim server. Maybe Lumin is using the new Ouija connector and working through the spirit world.:D

Sorry I missed this. I am getting the message regarding the update.
 
I had the same message for a while but decided to upgrade and have not had any problem since doing so. Simon will answer any questions you have ...quickly..
