MC1.2kW Thoughts?

Anyone have thoughts on these monoblocs? Can't find any reviews out there, which seems somewhat odd.

I owned them. Was not my favorite. Much prefer the 601's, 452, 2301's and of course, the 2KWS.
 
I've listened to them several times and loved them. They have smooooooth, torquey ease that just oozes the music out. They may not be the most holographic or have as much depth as other amps, but I still want a pair and love what they do.
 
I also do believe that some speakers are better suited to these amps than others. So, try before you buy if possible.

It's been a long time, but they didn't last more than 2 months. They sounded very veiled, slow and muddy. But they were absolutely gorgeous to look at. I had the 2301's at the same time and the 1.2kws were a big step down. This amp is in dire need of a makeover. If they could make it sound like the 601's, wow, you would have something.

Have you auditioned the MC1.2KW's?

Hi Dan,

Thank you. I remember reading that one.

Haven't seen heihei post a follow-up and I was curious what he ended up buying, if anything.

I'm thinking MC2301's, MC1.2KW's or MC601's with the C1100. I think I know your thoughts :)
