Mc Attack!

The new Wilson Mezzo. Just got it last week. The tweeter matches the Alexia tweeter.

Is it operational in the two-channel system? If so, how? I have Living Stereo SACDs of recordings from the 50s that are three channel, but unfortunately, three channel lost out in the 50s. Now you have to synthesize a third channel.

WoW! Sounds like serious movie dialog!

By the way, there is something 'robotik looking' about Wilson Audio; don't you guys also think?
It is simply an honest/positive observation; viewed from a graphic design artist. So don't take my word as a negative.
* In speakers the first thing that counts is the Sound Reproduction. ...The design (look/appearance/structure/geometrical sculpture) is a complement, a form, a technical plan in the contribution of its overall sound distribution/dispersion; outside and inside, acoustically.

Cylons. By your command.

What I want/need is a comparison between Wilson and Magico. Both are American, so costs should be similar, while design philosophy is different. We see plenty of Wilson Alexia vs. Sasha threads, and Magico S5 vs Q3 threads, but zero Sasha vs S5 threads. As a potential consumer I need data. I will do my own research, but it would be nice to read third party observations.

Yes! Definitely! I've always thought the same Bob.

What about Avalon? I think we could set up a fight between the Cylons and the Klingons :D

And let's bring R2D2?

And Mike Wasowski is there as well!

By the way a nice summary of some of the finest loudspeakers in the world. Robotik look rocks!

Sorry Mike. I don't mean to hijack your thread.

I am glad you like the Mac's with the Alexias. How do you use the Mezzo? I could see it as part of a 5.1 system but I think you only have the two Alexias and the center now, right? I am curious how you set it up and how it works with your music.

Thanks,

Hans

No, no, not at all. I've integrated a 7.2 surround system into my 2 channel system.

My best advice is go listen for yourself if you can. I know that might be a challenge - but if at all possible - listen for yourself.

I have yet to test it. Been spending most of my time with the Lumin. Maybe today or tomorrow. But I have four surrounds on the back and two height speakers in the ceiling. Add two Seaton Submersive subs in the back.

As long as your two channel preamp has HT bypass (pass through), you're good to go.

As far as the look of some of these speakers, I'm sure they won't appeal to everyone. However, I actually think the Alexia's are very nice and modern looking. The new Sasha 2's also have a nice shape. I love the slope on the side of my Alexia's, give it a nice shape. And lets not forget that you can order your Wilson speakers in any color imaginable. That's a very nice plus if you ask me.

As for the XLF....well, it may look a little overbearing - and then you hear it and wow! But I still prefer my Alexia's for my room and budget. To me, they just sound right.

So going back to the original post, what has happened as a result of the Mc attack?

In my room, there is an undeniable synergy between Wilson and Mc. I had to unhook it to make room for the VAC attack coming tomorrow! :woot:
