For those of you that have heard the A90, It's hard to imagine how much better the Anna is. The Anna is essentially neutral top to bottom. As Darrin says, it will reveal everything down the chain. When it's all done right.... Magic.....
Nuts and Bolts.. I've used the Anna into a number of SUT's and Phono Stages. Best results were with Thoress Phono straight in to the high gain stage. I tried a number of loading options, I found the Anna best in my system loaded at 47k (Generally I don't like loading down cartridges). The Kuzma 4 point is an excellent partner for the Anna, but I have also heard great results with Graham Phantom. Every little step in adjusting VTA, SRA, Azimuth matters and is easily audible. This isn't a do it yourself setup. Unless you're REALLY experienced, pay someone who is. You'll hear the difference.
We have all become accustomed to picking apart the performance of our high end gear. We like the highs from A or the dynamics of B... etc. etc. The unfortunate reality of this is that there are very very few products that do it all without obvious weaknesses compared to the competition. The MC Anna is one of the few products I've been exposed to in my 30+ years of playing with this stuff that truly does it all. It may be the best audio component that I own.
5 Stars, best of the best
Other cartridges I have recently owned, ZYX Universe II, Ortofon A90, Soundsmith the Voice, Dynavector XV-1S, Transfiguration Proteus...
Phono Stages I have used the Anna with , CJ TEA 1bc, Allnic 3000, Channel D, Seta Plus, Audio Research 10 and Reference 2SE ....
SUT's , I have used with the Anna, Auditorium 23, Bob's Devices, Ypsilon, Allnic NuVista Head Amp

So you are saying you prefer the Anna over the A90? Wow, very intriguing. Did you try the A90 on the Allnic 3000 and ARC Ref2SE as well?
