MBL Lives!

I 100% believe you, and trust your judgment. But you and I both know, every single dealer who does not carry MBL is shitting on the brand to every customer they meet. That's just the business, and dealers like you and 3Ma do a great job to those you reach.

But 1 or 2 30 second ads or press releases would of turned that negativity into positivity.

I guess all I am trying to say is, the product was always great. I believe the new owners will make it better. But success comes from image in this price category, they cant just show up at some audio show and drop everything. It will just be dead air.

I am simply saying this week I watched interview with a vampire season premier. The episode had a pair of speakers on display. They where not 801D4, they where not Magico of any sort nor MBL for that matter. No they where beolab.

My point being no matter how good the stuff is, it won't matter if it don't sell.
You’re not wrong, however since the acquisition, MBL sales for us anyway, have been good. Xtreme’s, 101’s, MBL electronics, etc.

I’m sure the change has fueled
the fire for non-MBL dealers to talk smack, but that’s nothing new. But if they talk to the new leadership, I think they would be put to ease and maybe that’s what happened at Axpona? The new team was there.

Time will be the great arbiter in this situation. I remain optimistic and hopeful.

Another positive the owner of the new company had/has a MBL system and a fan. I wouldn't think a fan/user would do anything to harm the company.

I've heard MBL several times at the shows. I've also heard German Physics. I don't get the criticism some attempt at the omni-directional, both produced a good sound stage. I suspect some of it is false parroting the same as they do with horn speakers or whatever.

Powered speakers may have their place and may work for some to each their own. For some who are gear heads as well as music lovers not being able to change things out is a deal breaker. I can't imagine how much a speaker would weigh with a Pass Labs monoblock inside it, LOL

DSP has done more for my system than cables, power conditioners, isolation devices, Ethernet switches, streamers, or most of the accessories commonly discussed in audiophile circles.
dsp helps, but
dsp adds delay (always)and reduces dynamic contrast.
Just about as you wont find any loudness button on high end preamps.

Thouse things work against what you are working for so hard in top system, while they might be helpful in a disorted system (and yes, most system are problematic enough to benefit)

as for active speakers, no the people and industry are not stupid. Results are not as good.
