Mauro Grange leaving McIntosh Group

It sems Mr. Grange was ousted. From what you can hear, ARC and Wadia are loosing money like crazy (ARC used to ba a cash cow a few years back, before the Italians started to 'work on it') and Sf is barely making both ends meet. The only company that is making any profit in the group is ... McIntosh. No wonder Mac CEO is appointed a group CEO.

Maybe they will rething their policy at ARC, and esp. Sf, and get back to their roots, ie. making excellent audiophile hi-end products with a pedigree, not even cheaper line every year.

Well I hope they remain only with "hi-end" products despite the fact that these "hi-end" products sometimes fall into "affordable - let's say <5000$" bucket. But products from McIntosh like MXA70 or McAire is IMHO just a brand milking one (This is McIntosh - seriously? Give me a break pls.). On the SF side they started with the same portfolio game and I just hope they will not do the copy paste on the ARC side (I love it to much). Just my two cents on the topic...

"From what you can hear" almost always precedes speculation, rumour, and much incorrect information wrapped around a miniscule sliver of truth.
