Hello to all...

Looking for quick upgrades - like tennis balls under components to dampen them from vibration -
and am considering installing a stepped attenuator ito the volume control of my vintage line stage
tube preamp, but think the best bang for the buck would be to either swap out and install new power
supplies on my components + or upgrade the power cords on my vintage Nikko DC Alpha 230, Onkyo A7 and Sanyo
Plus T35 Tuner (fixed cords) and my Marantz SA8001 SACD player (removeable cord).

Anyone ever use the Mapleshade power cords - either the CLEARVIEW DOUBLE HELIX POWER CORD
(for the Marantz) or the Power Cord Kits (for the Nikko, Onkyo and Sanyo)?

Mapleshade has reviews on their site, but - well - anyone have any experience with these products
from Mapleshade?

Any feedback or thoughts appreciated. ENJOY YOUR MUSIC!

I have a lot of Mapleshade product, but only some is in current use. They have a rather interesting philosophy in that less is more when it comes to audio. I have not used their power cords, which is what you are looking for, but I have used their analog and digital ICs, along with different types speaker cable. Currently, the Clearview Double Helix with Plus is in my 5 channel HT/surround system.

I also have their Micropoint brass footers under all my electronics in both the two channel and HT. These, along with a 4 shelf Samson V.3 two channel rack, and a 5 shelf Samson V.2 rack in the HT, are my favorite products. Vibration control really works for cleaning up the sound.

While all their products work well for the price, the cables require extra effort not to break since they are so minimal, the less is more philosophy. For that, and other reasons, I upgraded over a few years to all Shunyata in the two channel, and to Shunyata, MIT, and Mapleshade in the HT.

I really enjoyed their Omega Micro Planar 5 speaker cable with the copper ribbon in an open air, 18VDC biased, mesh, but a cat ripped one into two pieces. It was at that point I went with the Shunyata Zitron Anaconda speaker cable for both its sound, and imperviousness to cats.
