Time for some upgrades

...........there seems to be a Hole where my C50 Preamp used to be along with a TT missing on top............what shall I do?

I am thinking the C500C/C500T or C1000C/C1000T and a nice M10 or M5

nice, sounds like a plan, im guessing by your sig your a definite mac guy. ive heard a lot of equip in my time, but unfortunately the only mac guy in the area is .... well lets just say not my favorite person. and with their strict area guidelines no on else dare sell it outside their zone. so i have very little experience with it. but i wish you the best of luck with your new gear.

Mike - do you want to stick with Mcintosh? What's the budget for a new preamp and TT?
 
Please scrap the Mc TT idea and buy a VPI Classic 3. I had and Joe has the 500 T series preamp with the 601s. A very nice combo. I don't think the 1000 series is worth the extra $$$. A suggestion, use the $$ you save buying the 500 series and consider replacing the Olive unit with an Aurender S10. Best of luck!
 
The C500T with my MC601's on my TADs is pretty spectacular. I'd love the idea of having both tube and SS modules with the C1000 and being able to go back and forth but it does get expensive. I am actually thinking of adding the SS module to my C500 so I can have both but realize switching will not be quick and easy. I have not heard the Aurender but my Lumin is amazing.

Hey Mike ..............I will be sticking with Mcintosh. Budget will be between 12K-25K

The Olive unit is for "Background" music so its not a big priority at the moment...............the MC TT is what i want.........VPI's are excellent sounding TT's, but the look of them as never really grown on me at all and the "Look" along with the "Sound" quality is very important to me(to each their own) ..........I have heard the C500/C500T , but still have not heard the C1000 yet.....

It wasn't me who was fickle....it was the Raidho drivers! If they didn't pop like a balloon being poked by a needle, I would still own them. No popping with the Lumin! :)

Easy boys. Raidho speakers sound awesome and frankly I don't think I'd hit their limit. I use my volume control judiciously. There's plenty of great gear out there to match to the user. Everything can work great for the right person.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the 500 or the 1000. I preferred the 3D look of the 1000 series myself.
