Magico S3 MK2 in the house.

Sooo.... after three and a half months of waiting... i FINALLY got them!!
a few days ago my Magico dealer called and says they are on the plane from SF. i was so numb for waiting this long i couldn't get excited,
but yesterday when the truck pulled outside my house and the dealer knock on my door it was TIME for some WOWO calling .
three (very strong) guys get them three stories up stairs (no elevator) and we started to unpacked them carefully,
i got the cardbox boxing so it was fairly easy - its m cast black.
they were packed great at Magico with foam everywhere and the grills on tops covered also.
i was getting a third little box with spikes and the Magico DOK and orange towel in it.
ah!! i almost forgot - the speakers came with a VERY nice hard black cloth (looks like some kind of leather) covering them for future purpose also. very neat and great new touch!

we spiked them and locating them instead my "old" Avalons... for starts. speaker cables connected and (F) play!
we were chilled from the first note! they are unbelievable! but, i know i have a few hundred hours of breaking in to go... so... i will post some after it will.
in the meantime... here some pictures for you guys...

They are/were, but prepare to be blown away after, say, 400 hrs. Mine have now over 500 hrs on them.

Congratulations on your new S3 Mk2's BP! Nice choice of finish for your listening room also. You have assembled a very impressive system there; the Lux amps should have excellent synergy with your S3's & be a good match power-wise. That is also one gorilla of a tt! Unfortunately I don't have the room for a vinyl rig in my apartment situation, hence my system is digital-only. Most of us have to accept some level of compromise, as you do with your room size. But still there is plenty of development in the pipeline.

You may want to consider upgrading to S Pods at some stage, but in any case your speakers will continue to improve through the run-in process as you eluded to. Given you owned Avalons before which are the most coherent of speakers, i'll be interested to hear your view of how coherent sounding the S3 Mk2's are after they're fully run in. Good show! :audiophile:.
