Hello. I managed to acquire a pair of ADS L810 speakers and I am wondering if my Luxman L430 Integrated Amp will Power them. The ADS L810s are rated at 6 ohms or, sometimes, 4 ohms, which is confusing to me. The Luxman is rated at 8 ohms but has good power. As I am not real knowledgeable about HI FI, I wonder if combining these components would be risky for either the speakers or the amp. Would another amp be a better match or more advisable or would the Luxman work fine? Thanks for your help.

Get another amp that is rated for power output into a 4 ohm load. Your speakers have a sensitivity of 94dB at 6 ohms so there will be tons of amps that can easily drive that load.

That Luxman appears to be a great 1980s classic. Rated at 100wpc and class AB. I cannot see why it wouldn't drive the ADS.

Wrong impedance. Some amps can't drive 4 ohm loads which is why they are rated for 8 ohms.

I didn't pull up pictures, I just read the specs available.

I’ve owned a 430 and it had no trouble driving 4 ohm speakers to very good effect. It’s a good design with a big transformer and beefy output transistors.

You’ll be fine.
