Luxman, Hegel, Gryphon, Prima Luna, VAC, And McIntosh Amps. How Do They Compare?

I'm trying to narrow down my choice of amp for my system. I'm particularly interested in the integrated versions (tube, hybrid, or SS) but would appreciate your take on the separates too. For those who have heard any of the amps mentioned in the title I'd appreciate your comments on how they sound and how they compare to each other. I'll likely be using Harbeth Super HL 5+ 40th Anniversary speakers. As you might have guessed I listen primarily to bluegrass and other acoustic music. Thank you.

In my opinion PrimaLuna is a decent brand for the money but not in the same league as Luxman, Grypnon or VAC.

Hegel has a neutral well controlled sound, it's honest but not for those wanting warm and fuzzy. McIntosh would fit that warm bill. Both have a broad line but only Mac has tubes.

VAC sounds very good, more difficult for me to give a overall character. Meaning it does a lot well and nothing really calls attention or stands out.

Gryphon, you really need to hear this one. It is very transparent, images well, great control, yet an easy listen. Excluding Luxman as I have not heard them enough to comment, out of those you list left Gryphon would be my personal choice.

I haven't heard any of these brands with Harbeth. My guess the more in the room feel from the VAC might be something special with them though.

A good line up to pick from.

A friend has the Hegel 590 integrated with a pair of Super HL5+ 40th anniversary speakers and it’s absolutely wonderful. The Hegel balances out the Harbeth extremely well. The dac inside is great and the combo sounds awesome.
