Purchased a U1 mini in December 2021. Setup went fine with no issues – it has had a few firmware and app (Apple) updates since new.
No problems since day one - but last night while listening the app went completely blank and non-responsive (while the music continued). Only thing I could select was settings – and it didn’t show the U1 mini. After the music stopped I attempted to stream via AirPlay from the Qobuz app - that also didn’t work (Airplay said it couldn't connect to the U1 mini).
I re-installed the Lumin app then turned the U1 mini off then on again – still no response from the app. Then I tried turning off the U1 mini for a few minutes – then on again and that seemed to do the trick.
I’m using the streamer via a wireless access point to get a tethered connection. During the issue there didn’t seem to be any problems with the access point (appropriate status lights were on). Other devices such a cell phone and computer had wireless connections.
I leave the unit on standby when not using – could that cause something like this to happen every so often? Or is this type of behavior expected occasionally when using a wireless access point or is it something else?
I realize anything that is computer based will sometimes require re-start to resolve – I’m just curious if I’m doing something wrong or if other users have had this happen.
Thanks
