Hi all,

I use the Lumin U1 mini to feed two separate systems either through Tidal or the Naim Unity Core.

A) McI C53 / Anthem STR PA / Nubert Pyramide 717
B) McI C8 / McI Mc275 MKVI / Wharfdale Linton Heritage

Via Coax feed there is audible sporadic crackling noise similar to an old Vinyl record.
Audible on both systems, cable exchange to no resolution

Via USB everything is fine - would any of you have a guess what the root cause of these cracks on the Coax port could be ?

Also everytime I select a new song in the playlist there is a split second cut off of the track. Is this normal for the U1 Mini ?
I find this rather bothersome for a streamer in this price range.

Thanks a lot

Please note when you use the U1 (MINI) USB output connection, the other output ports no longer have correct timing and can cause drop outs, i.e. you can only use up to one DAC if you use the USB output.

If you do not connect the USB output, then you can use up to four DAC via AES / BNC / coaxial / toslink outputs.

Thanks very much Peter,

Yes, I had one system connected via USB and one via Coax indeed, disconnected the USB and all issues solved, the Coax sounds completely clean and all noise is gone, will connect the second system via toslink.

I wish I would have found this forum much earlier.

Again many thanks for the spot-on remote troubleshooting
