Im having an issue with my lumin U1 not seeing some flac files over MinimServer. Roon can see and play them, also foobar 2000 but I can not see these files on the Lumin.
Ive been thru the restarts of minimserver and reloaded my library checked permissions. Ive been using Lumin for over 3 years and this has me puzzled.

Please copy those non-visible files together with some visible files to a FAT32 USB flash drive, plug it into the Lumin. From Lumin app, choose the server as the Lumin USB Music Server, then check whether you can see all the files and play them correctly.

After successfully verifying the playback of those files, check the tags. Improperly tagged music files can disappear into the MinimServer untagged folder.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your quick reply. I put 7 file on the usb. I could see all 7 albums on the usb stick. All art correct on the files, just as it should be.
I could only see 2 of the 5 pointing minimserver at the same files in a small 200 album directory.
I tried retagging a few of the files that would not play with mp3tag but it did not help.

So is it Lumin not be able to see the files or don't you see them in the app? In the latter case it is probably Minim Server not be able to read the files and maybe you can see something in the log files.

In Lumin app, please choose "folder view" to browse the MinimServer folder structure, see if you can access the music this way.

No that did now let me see them. It seems to be a minimserver error. the log looks like this for all effected files.

Error: duplicate STREAMINFO block at offset 42 in file Diana Krall/The Look Of Love/09 The Look of Love.flac (length 103359794)

Any ideas how to fix this error?

Please try a different (possibly older) version of MinimServer, in case you have upgraded it recently.

Try a software like XLD to convert to FLAC (even if the file that is not working is FLAC). If this program gives an error message the files are corrupted. If it works you"ll be able to play them. Good luck!

That's good advice - verifying the integrity of the FLAC files.

Richard, if the FLAC files you're having problems with are ripped by yourself, perhaps you may try another ripping software (e.g. dbPoweramp).

If those files are purchased and can be converted back to WAV without errors, then perhaps we'll need to find out what went wrong with MinimServer.
