(For those who don't know, Lumin M1 is an integrated network player + digital amplifier, i.e. with a network input and speaker output.)
With the release of Firmware 8.05, Lumin M1 now supports RCA input via an add-on module - a USB audio capture device that takes RCA input, digitizes it and feeds the data to M1 via USB port. This allows users to connect another source of music, such as video / CD player, to M1 and use M1 as an integrated amplifier.
There are two ways to switch M1 from network playback to RCA input:
- Insert the RCA-USB add-on module to M1
or
- If the RCA-USB add-on module is already connected to M1, standby and wake up the M1
To switch M1 from RCA input to network playback:
- Play music using Lumin app or AirPlay or Roon or any OpenHome app
This add-on module should be included in new shipment of M1.
For further information on how to obtain / purchase this add-on module for existing M1 users, please send e-mail to [email protected]
