Lumin L2 and JRiver

There are aspects of JRiver that I enjoy including the Cloudplay feature. I'm currently using a WD MyCloud for my library source files.

If I have my library loaded on the L2 can I point JRiver to those files on the L2 and still use JRiver to serve those files? Would that also work for PLEX server? If so that would enable me to get rid of the WD MyCloud and simplify the system.

L2 is really meant for Lumin app. For other apps, you may be better served by other hardware, perhaps a fanless NAS.

For Roon, it's best to place the music in the Roon Core directly connected storage, either as internal drive or external drive.

L2 cannot run Roon Core.
