Lumin DC power rating

What does the external PSU for the A1 put out?
Is it 5VDC?
I have a Lumin PSU in spare (using Kenneth's DIY one) and want to use it for the newly ordered Paul Pang switch if it provides 5V and not 12V.

Please elaborate a little. If this is 5V and have a capacity of at least an amp or two I can't see why this is not rational....(?)
The trouble is that the PP switch comes with US wall wart only. I need Schuko (Europe).

The A1 power supply primarily outputs 12V. It may have 5V output (there are several pins in the unusual connector), but I guess it does not have much current capacity. To use it you'll need to go through the trouble of finding out which pin has 5V output (if it does) and custom making a cable from the A1 PSU connector to your required 2.1mm DC jack.

My original question was if it was 12VDC or 5VDC, so now that this is clarified (I take for granted that you are certain about this!) I agree that this is not a sustainable solution. I know that the D1 is 12VDC, but this doesn't mean that the A1 is 12VDC.
I am aware of the need for making a custom cable (plug termination) for the DC.
The power consumption for the switch is probably marginal.

Hi,

A1 is equipped with +12VDC -12VDC and +5VDC.
If you want a good PSU take a look at this Power Supplies | TeddyPardo
There is a plently of feedback's on inet.
In the future I will replace A1 PSU with this one for sure.
For the ethernet switch the one from ebay will be ok imho.

however I find it pretty expensive compared with the Teradak, still if the TP clearly would be of my choice. It is a pitty that it doesn't support 2 outputs.

This is information I received from Lumin in regard to the S1 power. Not sure if it is relevant, but since I have it, and I need one more post to hit 1000, here it is.

Pin1: VCC1, 12V, to Main board
Pin2: GND1
Pin3: VCC2, 12V, to Analog board
Pin4: GND2
Pin5: VCC3, -12V, to Analog board
Pin6: GND3
Pin7: not used
Pin8: not used

I finally got confirmation that A1 power supply does not have 5V output.

Being an early adopter I know I could ask Li On directly (or even Kenneth Lau).
