A few days ago I had the MFA Baby Reference V2 (30 day return) delivered to replace the MFA Classic V2 (which I still have).
Straight away I could hear more detail and better bass, but I now find that the bass is boomy which I didn't have before.
The Baby Reference is letting more through, and with CDs ripped to Flac, which the D1 is streaming, it's showing up the quality of the CDs, which I thought sounded very good before.
I'm now thinking if I had a higher up the range Lumin with better builtin DAC, would this make a difference?
It's just a matter of figuring out how to try one, before deciding in 30 days or so if I want to keep the Baby Reference or send it back, which is not something I thought I would be thinking about.
Perhaps it needs a few more hours of use?

I think the Baby Reference V2 may have both RCA and XLR inputs. If you have been using XLR, try RCA instead, and vice-versa. Although I don't think this is a ground loop issue, it does not hurt to try the Ground Lift switch and see if it makes any difference.

You need to burn-in the Baby Reference at your usual volume levels before the 30 day is up, then decide what to do with it.
