Lumin D1 vs Aurender N100H...

My search for a new streamer, to replace my bluesound node 2, has come down to the Lumin D1 and the Aurender N100H. I will primarily be streaming Tidal HiFi to my McIntosh MAC6700. My question is, do I go with the Aurender and connect it to my amps DAC via optical? Or do I go with the Lumin, use the onboard DAC, and connect it to my MAC6700 via balanced XLR. I'm not entire sure if the DAC on the Lumin unit or in my McIntosh is the superior unit. Thank you for your help in advance

The D1 gives you DAC options. You may add an external PSU and prefer the Lumin. You may prefer the DAC in the 6700. Options are a good thing.
