Lumin app coming and going offline ..also loosing my Roon connection at the same time.

I have been having a problem loosing the Lumin app function since the recent Minim upgrade. the app with stop working after creating a play list and starting to play music.It will just stop functioning...can't use the volume control ..the playlist disappears and the 'offline' indicator appears. At the same time my Roon app page says 'lost connection. The music that i created on the initial playlist..will continue to play but i will not have the ability to control the volume..thoughts..thanks..dave
 
Update....I rebooted my computer....off/on ...and that seems to have corrected the problem...not sure why that worked????
 
problems again tonight...my internet is working fine..problem:..when playing any track through either Roon or using my Lumin app...the music on every track will start skipping after only a few seconds of play...I have checked all connections...i am signed in to both Roon and Tidal...thoughts...
 
Is your MinimServer (for use with Lumin app) running on the same computer as Roon? Have you rebooted it?

Do you have a separate NAS or L1 that you can test Lumin app with?
 
Peter..I did turn my computer off and back on and that DID fix things...WHY does that maneuver work..?..Prior to my starting to listen to music tonight i did a security upgrade which automatically rebooted the computer. The problem started when i then tried to listen to music. The turning the computer completely off and on corrected everything..i guess from now on i am going to turn the computer completely off every night and on when i get home so maybe all will be right from now on..
 
Peter...I set the speed to 'throttled'...I did not see where to 'use less CPU core though. The music played great tonight though...dave
 
If setting it to throttled fixed the problem and it has not returned in the last 10 days, then your computer may be a little underpowered. And/or if you're using a powerline network (if I remember correctly), it may not withstand the high network traffic by Roon when doing fast audio analysis.
 
Peter..so far i have NOT had any further problem.Everything seems fine..Thanks..dave...i do use a power line network that is not the greatest.
