I have sent a couple of messages to Lumin support but unfortunately I have not received a reply… my Lumin A1 displays the artist's name twice. Example below;

Come Together

The Beatles, The Beatles
AIFF 44.1 kHz 16 Bit

I have verified that the ID3 tag information for “Come Together” shows only one entry of “The Beatles” in the “Artist” tag. I have also downloaded several recordings from HDTracks and all of the downloads duplicate the artist’s name.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks

I can check the S1 tonight and see if it does that. I keep my front panel display turned off so I never look at it.

I just tried 15 downloads from HD Tracks plus some Tidal Beatles songs including Come together from Abbey Road and I only see one Artist and Song name in the Lumin window..

Please copy the file to a USB flash drive, plug it into the Lumin, and in the Lumin app, choose LUMIN USB Music Server. See whether playing the same file from USB flash drive fixed this problem.

If it really fixes the problem, it means the UPnP music server you're using is problematic - which are you using?

The recommended one is MinimServer.

Thanks, I will copy some of the files to a USB flash drive and see if the problem follows. I have the Lumin L1 UPnP music server.

Don't know if A1 and S1 have same display, but S1 only shows one entry with a USB attached drive.

Thanks for checking… I will see what happens when I use a USB flash drive instead of the Lumin L1.

I copied several files from the Lumin L1 to a usb flash drive and the Lumin A1 properly displays the track information (the duplicate artist tag is resolved and only shows one entry of the artist's name) using the files on the usb flash drive. Is there someone at Lumin that I can refer the duplicate artist tag on the Lumin L1 to?

I have the D1 and played a few files from a USB drive and the display is correct, also played files from my Synology NAS using minimserver and all is well.

Thanks for checking… unfortunately it appears that my Lumin L1 is the cause. I hope to hear back from Lumin support with a resolution.

Peter, thank you for the quick resolution to the issue. I applied the upgrade this morning and all is well with the Lumin A1 display. It is very refreshing to have a company that addresses issues as quickly as your company does and makes such incredible audio equipment.
