Lucky Mistake

So how much did you pay for your lucky mistake? I assume you bought your two copies dirt cheap and now they are through the roof?

André, it's only lucky if you sell it before they release a new edition/remastered. Then I'm guessing it will worth about $7-$9.

I have never heard of the dude so I missed his regular "hits" let alone his "greatest hits." I hopped over to YouTube and listened to some of his, ah, music and quickly discovered that if I was going to torture someone I would strap them to a chair and play some of this music. If I wanted to turn the torture level up a notch, I would play the CD of his that has Yanni on it. I would unload that treasure of yours quick if I owned it.

No problem mep, different strokes for different folks.:)

Each of us humans resonate with different music, nothing new under the sun there. (I'll check this artist out when I get home because I don't know if I will like it or not until I've had a listen).
Speaking of "lucky finds of CDs": I wanted to get this world music CD about a year ago and there was only one known copy on sale and only in the Amazon used section (love that section for CDs and DVDs). The thing was not on ebay or any other place that I knew of. It sat at $60 US for a time and that's far too rich for me. One day I found they lowered the price to $9.00 US, so I grabbed it. When it arrived it had the original sticker on it which read $70.00 US. I have not looked because it does not matter to me, but I imagine it may be worth double that now as this is one that will never be re-issued (there is no or very little demand for it). I can't recall the title right now, I'll look when I get home and post it.

The real value is always what someone is willing to pay.

I was offered $100.00 each for these two 24k gold Three Blind Mice - Golden String Audiophile Repertory discs CD 004 - CD 006 Japanese pressings and to this day have refused.

True, especially in the art world. Someone's 4 year old can do a finger painting that on the surface wouldn't be worth 10 cents, but somebody will come along and offer $4000 for it. Just the way things are I guess.
