Hey guys new here and am looking for a new set of speakers- A little background-My room is a dedicated theater and stereo room 17x28 and it has been professionally treated- I currently have a full ATC active 7.3 system including 1oo/s as fronts 4- 50's sides and rears, c6 center and 3- c6 subs-
My 2 channel consists of the Concert fidelity preamp and DAC along with the new Lampi L7 DAC-
Sorry for the long background- As great as the ATC's are they are a little to analytical when playing diana krall, patricia barber etc- i want to get something a little warmer and involving- I am looking a the- harbeth 30 or 40.1,Devore 0/96, the King sound planers and also the Legacy whispers-
Any advice would be greatly appreciated-

Welcome!

The Harbeth's would be really nice. However, if you can swing it, a used pair of Sonus Faber Stradivari's are incredible for female jazz vocals, definitely warm sounding, easy to drive and would work amazingly well in a 17 x 28 room. You should be able to pick a pair up on Audiogon for $20k (ish). New, they retail for $45,000. But, you shouldn't have any issues finding a used pair at a good price. If you don't PM me as I know of a dealer with a used pair. They are also one of the most stunning looking speakers too.

Hi

I'll have a pair of 30.1 at the end of next week and 40.1's in hopefully 6 more weeks. I'll let you know how the 30's sound.

I'm also an ATC fan.
Home theatre 5.1 system with active 50s front active 20 towers rear and C6 sub.
Stereo room active 150's and very happy. I tried listening to female voices on many others at CES and shows, Axpona. Never found a better midrange. Spoiled I guess.
I would look upstream from speakers, tube DAC or different cartridge etc.

Good luck
