Just a heads up to anyone who will be in Dallas this weekend, that the Lone Star Audio Fest will be held. Myself and three audio buds will have an audio setup in one of the rooms, so come on by for a visit. We will have a modest system going and will be listening to tunes and socializing. Just look for the banner for 5one2 Audio (our listening group members live in the 512 area code) and stop by. Here's a URL showing info about the LSAF...The Woodstock of audio shows...

Steve-So what is your modest system you will be showing/playing?

LSA monitors, Ayre QB9 DSD DAC, Klyne phono pre, DYI server loaded with around 20,000 songs, including plenty of Hi-Rez stuff, DYI preamp, DYI amps, Ortofon cartridge, sorry don't know model, Well Tempered Turntable, plenty of albums. Like I said modest, but it ought to sound good because we're bringing plenty of adult beverages.

Big Thanks to Steve and the 5one2 Audio members for being at LSAF. For a first time attendee there open hospitality was unexpected, there knowledgeable and honest answers were appreciated and the great tunes they provided was ear candy.

How did it go Steve?
Thanks for asking AJ. We went with the idea to just party and on that front, it was a success. I think we were one of the more popular rooms, especially since we weren't selling anything! The show itself was very disappointing, as there was not very much industry participation. There were very few exhibitors, although my speaker cable company was there. There were some very nice looking and sounding speakers and turntables from a Hawaiian manufacturer, who also had the only large room. All in all, I'll be a little surprised if it continues. I hope I'm wrong and it grows, but I'm not hopeful. Too bad. On a brighter note a friend of mine is working with another audio discussion web site owner about establishing a new annual show/event in San Antonio! From what I heard, they are in negotiations with many manufacturers and a hosting hotel.

Thanks for coming! If you signed our log, you'll be invited to our next big gathering down this way. We had a lot of fun listening, drinking and visiting! Glad you enjoyed yourself!
