Little Bear T8?

Hey guys

Few days ago, I've placed an order for a "Little Bear T8" phono preamp, after reading (a lot) of good feeback on this particular model. It's the latest revision with solid-state capacitors using the external power brick (16VAC, if I'm not mistaking) So, I'm wondering... Do you guys have it? If so, what do you think about it?

The idea is to hook it up into my existing system, AT LP120 & use T8 instead of the integrated preamp which (although gets the job done) apparently adds a lot of "rumbly" background noise. It would seem that many people misunderstood this noise for the motor (or rather, the platter), but I found out that even after adding a 6mm thick SL-1200 rubber mat I'm still getting the same noise from both channels ... even when the platter is fully stationary, not running.

I am not sure if anyone here has this phono preamp. It is an extreme budget phono pre.

Do you have your Turntable grounded to your integrated, if not try running a ground wire. It may fix your rumbling.

It's OK, I was just curious. And no, AT-LP120 is internally grounded to its integrated preamp. Adding a ground wire is always an option (so is removing the internal unit), but I would rather not take it apart due to 2yr warranty.

But now you gave me an idea... It is possible that I'm picking noise through the USB ground, as I've already experienced this problem before. And the rumble is not that obvious, it's only audible when you crank up the volume (especially when there's no sound coming through the channels) but I'd still like to look into this & work it out.
