Every day in December until Christmas Linn will be giving away a different, free Studio Master track available for download.

They're starting out with a free preview track which is currently available in up to 24/192 resolution:
Dougie MacLean’s classic, ‘Caledonia’, performed with the award-winning Royal Scottish National Orchestra

In previous years each track was only available on the specified date, so you need to check daily for new releases to not miss any.

Enjoy the free music courtesy of Linn! I have previously purchased many of their high res releases and find them to be of excellent quality. :audiophile:

So I was attracted to this generous and interesting offer, but I stopped after a few days because I found, to my surprise, that Linn records very much sound like Linn device. Clearly those guys have a very definite idea of what high-fidelity and recorded music should sound like. To me, it makes every record sound a little the same, kinda like old vinyles on low end tables all sounded the same. I feel that way about Linn systems and Linn streamers in particular (regardless of their many qualities) and was surprised to find the same aesthetic bias in their records. O well, I guess others would find that the recordings I like sound like my systems (I find that all records sound completely different and that's what I like about my systems...)
