just thought i would pass this along...
the lifatec optical cables are worth investigation by anyone looking to add or upgrade an optical audio interconnect cable - toslink. have not done any A/B testing with other optical cables but i have been very happy with the performance of my system with these cables in the signal path.
pretty much twice the specs at half the cost of other glass optical audio cables i was able to discover: 470(!) optical glass (borosilicate) fibers with each fiber end polished to a 1 micron optical finish (as opposed to fitting a lens over the bundle end as in other cables). a six foot cable is $109.
