LH Labs: What's the deal?

The Geek Pulse/X/Xfi; infinity, etc...intrigue me. But I don't get it?

Why, some places...are they like $350-400; and others 4-figures?

I understand they did a crowd-source, and those people selling for less...I'm sure paid less. But still; why would they ask for current market value; unless I'm missing something?

On paper...this seems like, it would be a GIANT killer?
