was looking to do a small system, and found these (Wife really likes the design)


Lawrence audio "Violin" speaker, anyone heard these and feedback

I haven't had the opportunity to hear them myself, but have read many favorable comments on the line from show reports and some reviews. I would suspect that they would be worth checking out if you have the chance.

I have the Mandolins with a Melody AN300b integrated amp and a HUGO. I did change out the tubes in the Melody but the system sounds great. This is a second system for me in my second home and since I replaced my Vega with the HUGO and placed 4 Sophia Royal Princess 300bs and 2 1945 Tung-Sol 6SN7 black glass with round plates into my Melody I have very very impressed. The tubes I use are not cheap but even with stock tubes and discounts I was very impressed. The Melody is a great match for the Mandolin or Violin.

Personally I think these speakers are meant for tubes.

Nope, bass is OK, but Lawrence Audio Violin need a good amplification - with Electrocompaniet, Pass, Plinius everything should be OK.
