Anyone would like to share their experiences with LAST preservatives. They have a range of products for various applications including vinyl, stylus, tape, tape heads.

Is it the same stuff or is the chemical formulation different for each application. Given the applications, to me it sounds like the same stuff in different bottles.

How safe is it? I believe it changes the molecular bonding of a vinyl's surface.

What of the other surface applications?

When I spoke to Michael Fremer last, he stated he used it on his vinyl and is a fan.

Louis from Kronos also uses it and is also a fan. The word on the street is just use the LAST for vinyl and none of their other products (stylus cleaner, etc.)

I have been using Stylast cleaner since the Dead Sea was only sick and my cartridges all last at least 100 years. I have never had a stylus become unglued from the cantilever and nor have I had to worry about Stylast wicking up my cantilever and molesting the internals of my cartridge. People worry too much about nothing. I use Onzow every time before I play an LP and follow it up by cleaning/polishing the stylus with Stylast. It has been a formula for success.

Using the Magic Eraser does give me the heebie jeebies though. That seems like quite a hostile environment to drop your precious stylus down into and I will stick to my regiment. Feel free to stick your taliwacker into a rose bush and hope it comes out OK though.
