Has anyone heard the new K-horn? Most of the reviews are just regurgitated Klipsch press releases. I now have a room appropriate for these. I’m going to listen to some Devore O/93 (neither the O/96, nor O/Bronze is available) speakers this weekend, having listened to the previous K-horn AK6 at a vinyl bar.

Not planning on the active crossovers (with 4 additional amps) at this point.

Not ruling out sourcing a used Klipschorn, and upgrading with Volti audio parts. But those speakers are a good bit heavier than I am comfortable schlepping around.

I have. And I've owned the Cornwalls and La Scala's.

The issue is the cabinets keep getting lower quality and resonance becomes a huge issue. It was so bad on my La Scala's I sold them.

The Klipsch very much has its own distinct presentation - people either love it or hate it. The other speakers you mention will sound nothing like the KH.

These are definitely speakers you'll want to listen to first. I personally would buy used and upgrade. That IMO will yield a far superior sound.

The speaker have got fantastic potential that for a few dollars more could be realized. They just choose to jack up the prices will not dealing with the real issues of the speakers.

If you want to go high power MC30 is more than you need with Klipschorns, Right now I’m using Alan Eaton type 45 SET amps and they get up to 108 db which is REALLY loud!

I should have mentioned that Alan Eaton amp puts out 1 and 3/4 watts of power!

I heard a 45 SET amp for the first time just a few months ago and I was very impressed.
Easily one of the best tubes I have ever heard.
