On September 4, 2026, a new U.S. federal KHARMA trademark application was filed by IPBI – Intellectual Property Beyond Imagination B.V., at the same Breda address Kharma International uses. The filing claims priority to an EU application from May 4, 2026.
What makes it notable is the breadth of the goods Kharma is seeking protection for. The application extends well beyond its familiar loudspeakers and cables to include power amplifiers, preamplifiers, valve amplifiers, turntables, media players, signal processors, equalizers/crossovers, racks and automotive audio equipment, as well as design and R&D services.
I would not interpret this as confirmation that Kharma is about to launch electronics. Trademark applications are often deliberately broad. But given Kharma’s history of building complete reference systems at the Veyron level, this is worth watching: it could represent formal U.S. brand protection ahead of a broader product strategy, rather than merely maintenance of the speaker business
