Just got back from a secret audio trip.....

OK guys....I just arrived back from the airport on a secret visit to an audio dealer to hear some of the most amazing gear.

The purpose of this visit was to listen to an uber-high end audio cable line of products I'm going to be doing a video on (I'll do a video on the dealer visit and the cables).

I must admit I have never been impressed with Vandersteen speakers. However I got to hear their 7 EXTREMES yesterday. WOW WOW WOW. Super impressed. In fact, I could easily own a pair which is saying a lot as I hear lots on "nice" speakers but few I would actually own.

I also listened to Estelon YB's and XB's and others, but the Vandersteen's are the one I would own.

It was!

Flew out early yesterday morning, spent 6 hours listening and learning, late night business dinner, flew back this morning and am off again tomorrow on another flight.

It's always interesting to sit back and listen to other people opinions, experiences, likes and dislikes and learn from what they share with you.
 
Hear these Vandersteen's at the CAF in November. One of my favorite rooms of the show, but only when I got in the sweet spot.

I for one have enjoyed Richards speakers when I've had the opportunity to listen.

It's been many years since I listened to his speakers so it's been several iterations since my last listen. I was seriously impressed the other day.

I heard numerous fine speakers on the trip, but if it came to which ones would I buy and live with (it's moot as I don't have that kind of money) it would be the Vanersteen's.
