I just bought a new Marantz AV7703 preamp/processor and an ATI multi-channel power amp for my theater. My speakers are the Pioneer EX series (S-EX1's floorstanders for fronts, S-EX2's monitors for surrounds and S-EX7 center) designed by Andrew Jones with TAD drivers, beryllium tweeters etc.

A program called HEOS, which is owned by Denon, came built into the processor. You can stream Tidal natively through HEOS and it sounds pretty darn good. With high-qualify speakers the sound is rivaling if not equaling all of my two-channel setups. You can listen to music via a Pure Direct setting which turns off the monitor and all video settings to reduce noise to the maximum extent possible. Other listening choices include multi-channel stereo and several others including Dolby surround, virtual surround etc.

I highly recommend HEOS for those who want to use your home theater rig to play music.
