...Anyone else here living in Iowa? It'd be nice to have some other audiophiles nearby to share audio info with.
Yeah, being able to talk shop would be great. Especially if they are more knowledgeable than me. I'm a relative newb to high end audio. I had a nice system in the late '70s but the amp stopped working in the '90s and I ended up giving my entire system (except speakers) to a buddy. I started thinking seriously about owning a true high end audio system again last March. I've been researching and re-educating myself about high end audio gear pretty intensely since then. I've been amazed at the technical knowledge on the forums and the net. I still have a LOT to learn and having a fellow audiophile to discuss high end audio with would be great.
Yeah, Brian, this is a great forum run by great guys. It's been extremely helpful to me since my return from a 40 year absence from high end audio. As you likely know I'm in the process of putting together a new system from scratch. I still have a lot to learn. This, by far, is the forum I spend most of my time on. It would just be nice to have another person into high end audio nearby.
Join Audiogon and post a new thread on their forum and ask if there any audiophiles from Iowa. It's a bigger pool to fish in and you might get a bite.
