JL Fathom vs REL Gibraltar's (did I spell that right!).

I have both, I use the 2 fathoms for home theater and the 2 rel's for my 2 channel. found the rel was easier to integrate due to the speakon cable and the remote is awesome. the fathoms are more compact though which was easier to place in corners and such. sound wise its honestly apples vs oranges. the rel enclosure is wood which to me gave a more musical sound, but the JL are nice and powerful. if it was a home theater decision it would be fathom no question.

REL for 2 channel, JL Audio for HT. I've owned both. REL all the way.

If you are talking in terms of lines for 2 Channel audio then REL has a wider range of models and pricing plus being better known outside the world of car audio where JL Audio is king. The reputed ease of integration through it's speaker level connection also gives the REL an advantage. To many of us "older" guys our first exposure to JL Audio was through the subs in our kid's vehicles.
