Jim Croce - gone too soon

Thank you for posting that Mike. I agree. I often play his music. The first song in the video “photographs and memories” gets me a little choked up. Just beautiful. Him and his guitar, very powerful.

Pretty amazing talent. Another artist whose limited, but amazing music, I can listen to over and over again and literally NEVER tire.

What is also amazing is that no one, at least to my knowledge, has remastered his music as we have seen with other artists where it seems like every other week there is a new remaster many that suck.

However, little known fact is that Barry Diament who has released some amazing music from his own label, Soundkeeper Records, did the mastering for Jim Croce's Photographs & Memories - His Greatest Hits album. Barry has done the original mastering for many great albums and with the exception of those that the artist interfered with, are usually wonderful recordings.

Barry's CSNY remastering of Deja Vu remains my go to.

Barry used to take part in many discussions on Computer Audiophile until too many trolls, with limited or no knowledge, just chased him away. One of the great albums of all time IMHO, is Equinox, recorded and mastered by Barry on his own label at http://www.soundkeeperrecordings.com/

All of Barry's albums are great but Equinox is a cut above.

Anyway, back to Croce, one could only imagine just how much amazing music this gifted musician could have produced had he lived.
