After being introduced last year to the Chilli Peppers Drummer, Chad Smith and the Bombastic Meatbats, I fell in love with guitarist Jeff Kollman. Thanks Finchy!

Welcome to Jeff Kollman Online

He has been around for many years and can play just about any style, which he does on "Silence in the Corridors" with about 6 or 7 different genres. I have been chasing down as much of his work as I can find and have the one mentioned above and a 2 disk set "Guitar Screams Live" which is killer. I just picked up one of his Cosmosquad disks, Squadrophenia, which has several studio versions that are on GSL and much more. If you like Satriani, Vai and similar music/bands, I recommend you Youtube and sample some Jeff Kollman.

Nobody here likes shredding fusion? Wow!

The more I listen to this disk and Jeff, the more respect I gain for him as a virtuoso player.

Although there is no real video here, this track which is a tribute to the late Jason Becker, Jam for Jason has it all. Shredding, tasteful licks, bass and drum solos, acoustic guitar solo, you name it.

This track and others brings me to the question....So Dianna Krall and a piano sounds great on your HE system, but how does congested jamming/shredding come through?

Check out this tune- Jam for Jason

You had me at Chili Peppers. :)

Good stuff, just not what I regularly listen too.

I don't really care for the Chilli Peppers much. Way too much of it sounds the same. Flea and Chad seem to be held back by that group and in this form, Chad's drumming is on par with some other greats.

But Jeff is a monster on guitar for sure.
