Learned today via a UK forum (from one of his dealers BD Audio) that JC Verdier has passed away. Another of the true artists & pioneers leaves us, and while I don't own one of his TT's, my own will spin in his honour tonight. May his soul be at peace.

Apparently the company continues under the stewardship of his son, Eric (indeed, it seems Eric has been at the helm for a few years already).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and apologies if this isn't the right section, mods feel free to shift it if needs be.

Matt

I am very saddened to read this. He was living with his wife and Eric just 3 miles from my home.
RIP Mr. Verdier.

Here he is with some friends listening to the Platine in my home, just a few months ago.

Jean Constant Verdier was a "Mensch".
A man with a huge knowledge and a huge modesty. Not looking for glory. Not looking for honors. But dedicated to his passion for Music. He was not interested in Marketing and Trends. He followed his own path. Peacefully. He was the kindness personified.
I have been personnaly very lucky to know him. He honored me a few times by coming to my home, letting me try his fabulous 845 monoblocks and a few years later to hear the Platine in my system.
